K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting your communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

Working in the processing plant, the primary purpose of this position is to lead a high performing team, responsible for scheduled, daily and shutdown maintenance activities within the processing facility. 

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Support, coach and mentor a team to ensure optimal delivery against performance and safety targets.
• Drive effective cost management initiatives by identifying & implementing cost-saving opportunities.
• Plan, schedule, organize, control, and direct, activities of maintenance personnel responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment within the surface processing facility.
• Review safe work procedures with supervisory personnel to ensure adherence to company standards, safety and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain fixed plant preventative maintenance plans and strategies that align with operational objectives.
• Establish performance requirements and development targets for each member of the team and monitor performance against these targets. 

About You

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have well developed interpersonal and communication skills and hold either a recognized mechanical trade certificate or a Mechanical Engineering degree. Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate experience in leading a field-based maintenance crew and be able to demonstrate experience in some of all of the following.

• Planning and scheduling of maintenance activities
• Fixed plant maintenance - preferably within a minerals processing environment. 
• Hydraulic fault finding. 
• Maintenance of pumps, mills, conveyors, and processing plant.
