K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting your communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

The primary focus of this position is to follow an exploration drilling plan and recover accurate core samples in line with K92 Mining specifications in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Ensure compliance to the exploration drilling program.
• Safe operation of an exploration diamond coring drill rig.
• Training and mentoring of drill rig offsiders and trainee drillers
• Ensure all personnel working on / around the drill rig do so in compliance with OH&S regulations and that appropriate duty of care is exercised at all times.
• Ensure all drilling reports are compiled and submitted correctly.

About You

To be considered for this position, essential that applicants has demonstrated experience in the safe operation of an exploration diamond coring rig (Multipower / C1000 or similar) drill rig. In addition to this, applicants should also

• Be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Have well developed communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Have a strong understanding of safe drilling and work practices.
• Be able to work to and meet deadlines without compromising on quality and safety
