K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting your communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support during geological fieldwork. You’ll work alongside geologists, assisting in data collection, sample analysis, and exploration activities.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Collecting rock, soil, and mineral samples for analysis.
• Supporting geologists during field surveys, mapping, and exploration activities.
• Ensuring proper functioning of field equipment.
• Recording field observations and measurements.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have minimum Grade 10 level of education along with experience in a similar role in either open cut of underground mining either or you may a recent Geology graduate with minimal industry experience who is looking to secure their first role in the mining industry. In addition to this you will have some or all the following.

• Sound communication skills.
• Basic geological knowledge, and familiar with scientific principles related to geology.
• GPS operation, basic computer soft skills
• Well-developed planning and organizational skills.
• Valid Driver’s License – Class 6.
