K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting your communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

As part of the technical services team, the primary purpose of this position is to oversee management of data emanating from the underground drilling.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Compilation of drill grade reports for each drill hole (interval tabulations).
• Undertaking QAQC checks of all data, and data into the database and plotting in 3D modelling software (Surpac / Deswick)
• Oversee the submission of samples to the laboratory (onsite and offsite).
• Preparation of check assays to be sent to external laboratory.
• Packaging and dispatch of petrology samples to petrologists overseas.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have a tertiary qualification in either Geology, Geophysics or Geoscience, along with experience in either the Mining, Construction, Engineering or Oil and Gas industries. In addition to this you will have some or all the following.

• Sound communication skills.
• Experienced with 3D modelling software.
• Ability to analyze numerical and geographical data.
• Well-developed planning and organizational skills
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
