About the role
The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payments in support of the Accounts Payable function. Moreover, this role involves performing high standards of accountability and transparency in all business dealings with the various vendors (both local and overseas) while upholding the K92 Mining Limited’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and Core Values.
Key / Major Accountabilities
Key accountabilities of this position include.
- Receive, review, and process supplier invoices within Pronto.
- Perform invoice matching against Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
- Prepare invoices for payment processing in accordance with payment schedules.
- Ensure all Accounts Payable documents are properly filed and retrievable.
- Liaise with Procurement, Warehouse, and departmental staff regarding invoice issues
About You
- To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline with minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable, finance administration, or accounting support. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.
- Experience using Pronto
- Experience within mining, logistics, construction, or operational industries
- Be a self-starter, very resourceful, with the ability to find solutions to problems with less supervision.
- Flexible and adaptable and be a team player.
- Well versed in general accounting and banking procedures/systems or functions.
- Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Proficient in computer and e-mail correspondences and courteous
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with vendors and other stakeholders.
