K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Join K92 as we achieve record growth and re-invest on a unprecedented scale within our exploration program, in this role you will grow the company’s portfolio through the delineation and modelling of mineral resources and be a key player in the business development and exploration activities for K92 Mining working in collaboration with site-based representatives through the Exploration Manager and Deputy Exploration Manager or as directed by the EVP Exploration.

You will also be tasked with building the geological capacity of the national workforce and manage the statutory reporting requirements for Exploration and the Mining Lease

Key Accountabilities

• Analyse geological data using specialist computer applications.

• Review and evaluate potential new projects and opportunities, as required.

• Preparation and updating of NI43-101 Resources Technical Reports, working alongside independent consultants.

• Oversee the management of the Exploration Database and prepare QAQC reports.

• Statutory reporting and maintenance using LeaseControl software.

• Compilation of drill grade reports upon completion of each drill hole.

• Modelling of data in 3D, as well as block modelling numerical data.

• Ensure that all exploration operations comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements covering all relevant areas, including safety, environmental etc…

• Internal and statutory reporting in relation to activities and tenements, including renewals.

• Develop and manage the Exploration Team, including management of contractors for specific tasks.

• Training geologists in the database using DataShed.

• Establish a high-performance culture by motivating team members to achieve a high level of performance and by rewarding and recognising high performance.

• Continuous improvement by staying updated with advancements in geological science and exploration technologies.

• Actively promote a safe and healthy culture.

• Demonstrate personal responsibility for own health and safety whilst setting clear expectations of relevant legal obligations, safe workplace practices and HSE operating practices to others, holding them accountable for their actions.

• Perform general housekeeping within and around responsible work area.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have the following

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Geophysics or Geoscience.

• Extensive work experience in exploration of epithermal and/or porphyry systems

• 10+ years relevant mining or exploration work experience essential.

• Computer proficiency and the ability to analyse numerical and graphical data, including 3D modelling skills.

• Sound planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent trouble-shooting skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.

• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.

• Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for communication, rapport building, conflict resolution & training.

• Professional Geologist (P. Geo) or equivalent certification is preferred.
