K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

As we enter an exciting period of expansion at K92, we seek to add a Senior Specialist – Gold Room to our growing team. In this role you will manage the Gold Room processes, oversee the operation of the gravity recovery circuit including Falcon Concentrator and shaking tables and manage daily activities and inspections of the Tailings Storage Facility to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained.

This role is offered on a rotating roster of 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off.

Key / Major Accountabilities

• Manage all gold room processes including smelting and gravity recovery operations.
• Maintain an exemplary standard of gold security in accordance with K92 Mining Limited policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain meticulous standards of record keeping for gold bearing materials and gold room activities.
• Manage daily activities with regard to the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) including tailings deposition and water management
• Ensure timely reporting of production information for the gold room, gravity recovery circuit and compliance reporting for the TSF.
• Train and mentor the National workforce in the operation of the gold room and TSF.
• Promote and support continuous improvement of work practices and processes.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years’ site base experience in Gold Room operation, with at least 5 years’ experience in a senior supervisory role.
• Certificate in Workplace training and assessment desirable.
• 5+ years relevant expat work experience essential.
• 5+ years’ experience in managing TSF operation
• Moderate compute skills required
• Skills in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Superior demonstrated teamwork skills
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
