K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

This position is responsible for the service and maintenance of fixed plant equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. You will ensure a preventative maintenance schedule is adhered to as well as perform reactive maintenance when equipment breaks down to ensure downtime of machinery is minimized.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain and repair fixed plant equipment onsite in a safe, responsible and timely and effective manner ensuring all Fixed Plant and K92 mining standards are met.
• Oversee installation, operation, repairs, and maintenance of the Fixed Plant equipment and infrastructures.
• Maintain all plant equipment and ensure all planning and scheduling maintenance activities are performed safely and more effectively.
• Assist the Maintenance Foreman in performing preventative maintenance programs, perform routine maintenance and enforces statutory requirements and assist to create a zero-base safety culture.
• Ensure safe work standards and practices in accordance with mine safety regulations for all tasks performed.
• The successful completion of daily work to meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Reporting faults and hazards and respond to routine emergency calls for repair and service within the mine site area.
• Monitoring and assessment of plant and equipment.
• Exercise due care and attention to work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist in supervising and on-job training for Apprentices and Trade Assistance.
• Willingness to assist other trades as and when required.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have certificates from a recognized Tertiary institution or technical training program in a maintenance trade or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program, or combination of the two.

• Trade Certificate Fitting & Machinery / Mechanical Fitting.
• Sound knowledge of all Processing Plant Equipment or similar.
• Possess the ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis (particularly in diagnosis and fault finding).
• Must be a self-starter, and very resourceful, with the ability to find solutions to problems to ensure the equipment availability is maintained and the ability to live in a remote environment with limited facilities.
• Flexible, adaptable and be a team player.
• Good working knowledge of the principles and practices of OH&S and Fixed Plant.
• Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business and ability to work harmoniously as part of the team.
