About the role
Responsible to ensure efficient and effective vehicle maintenance service to all site Light Vehicles (LV), Light Trucks & Small Engine Fleet.
Key / Major Accountabilities
Key accountabilities of this position include.
- Carry out vehicle repair and maintenance work to pre-determine standards; to provide vehicles which are safe, reliable, and legal in accordance with the Road Traffic Act.
- Complete records for all vehicles and equipment maintained as per documents provided.
- Maintain specialist company equipment and tools to ensure they are available for immediate use.
- Road test vehicles to ensure they are in a safe working order.
- Identify and report to the Maintenance Supervisor any vehicle defect during serving & Repairs.
- Identify and report safety hazards
- Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.
About You
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must obtain a minimum qualification of Grade 10 certificate and a NATTB certified Tradesman certificate in Automotive Mechanic. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.
- 5-years' experience in Automotive Mechanics
- You must have good communication skill
- You must be a self-starter, and very resourceful, with ability to find solutions to problems to ensure the equipment availability is high.
- Flexible and adaptable and be a team player.
- Able to work long hours.
- Possess current Class 6 driver’s license.
