K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

As the All Round Operator you will provide the Mine Superintendent with a flexible operator to assist with a wide array of underground mining tasks. You will be highly proficient in-Service Crew, Charge Crew, and LHD Operator functions and ideally have a level of competence in either Shotcrete Application, Tele-Remote LHD Operation, Long hole Drilling, or Jumbo Ground Support Installation. You will apply your underground operating experience to assist in the upskilling of the National workers in areas for which they are suitably qualified and experienced.

Key / Major Accountabilities

• Ensure equipment is safe to operate and kept in clean working order. Report any defects to the superintendent or fitters.
• Proactively engage with the Mining Superintendent to provide technical advice regarding Mine Services, charge up operations, LHD Operations, and other areas for which they are trained.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or hazards to the Mine Superintendent immediately.
• Communicate with shift supervisors and cross shifts to optimize development cycle time safely and in a timely
• Read and accurately follow the daily shift sheet, ensuring all tasks are completed to mine standards with skill and precision.
• Coaching and training of PNG Nationals in Mining best practice.
• Ensure effective processes for communicating relevant information, including company, site, department, and team performance, to all team members are in place.
• Direct and train employees on the correct operation of Service installation, Charge - up processes, LHD Operations, and other mining functions for which they are trained.
• Identify skills gaps and training requirements and assist in developing training packages as required to close the skills gap.
• Coordinate and assist with the delivery of training to the national workforce.
• Actively review the work performance of the teams they work with and provide feedback to the area supervisors including the talent and succession planning for designated key roles.
• Actively promotes a safe and healthy culture.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility for own health and safety whilst setting clear expectations of relevant legal obligations, safe workplace practices and HSE operating practices to others, holding them accountable for their actions.

About You

Qualifications

• RIIMSM307D - Install and maintain ventilation systems and equipment (Desirable)
• RIIHAN311F – Conduct operations with integrated tool carrier (Desirable)
• RIIBLA202F - Support underground shot firing operations (Desirable)
• RIIBLA205E - Store, handle, and transport explosives (Desirable)
• RIIMPO333E - Conduct underground load, haul, and dump truck operations (Desirable)
• RIIUND307D - Conduct tele-remote operations (Desirable)

Experience

• 7+ years plus of underground mining experience
• Previous experience operating in Papua New Guinea or developing countries in remote locations
• Previous experience with Underground Service Installation, Underground Development Charge Up, Underground Production Charge Up, Underground LHD Operation
• Narrow vein mining or Underground Stope mining experience (Desirable)
• Sound planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent trouble shooting skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training
