K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining the project construction team, as Cost Controller you will be responsible for supporting the Projects Controls team with planning, measuring progress, control (purchase orders and payment)  and report internally on all services.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Apply cost control work processes to project and EPC services scope
• Maintain Control Accounts in the Project Controls System
• Import deliverable progress data into the Project Controls System from the different platforms
• Coordinate progress updates and reviews with Discipline Leads
• Maintain all data related EPC/Contractor rates
• Collate and submit weekly workforce summarised report 
• Compile forecast data to support monthly reporting
• Manage and report on EPC services labour and non-labour costs
• Project reporting of committed, incurred, and forecast costs
• Prepare PERs as per Project Expenditure Request Procedure
• Prepare monthly accruals for review
• Maintain cost control of flights, accommodation, expenses, and contractor back charges
• Cost control and reporting of minor packages
• Support management with cost control and reporting of major packages and change management
• Reconcile Pronto paid costs with the Project Controls System
• Provide consolidated booked hours data (hours and personnel count) to support project health, safety and environment (HSE) reporting requirements
• Review and submit monthly accruals to the K92 Commercial department.
• CMS- Set up packages, prepare PPC and submit for approval
• Review & validate service invoices and maintain relevant registers
• Create Service Purchase Orders in Pronto System and maintain relevant registers
• Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have a Tertiary Qualification in Business Management or similar. In addition to this you will have some or all the following.

• 5 years’ experience as a cost controller /specialist.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
• Sound planning and organizational skills.
• Proficient in computers and Microsoft packages
• Previous Pronto and Project cost management software experience will be advantageous
• Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with team members, K92 Mining Ltd and contractor’s employees.
