About the Role
As part of the newly created surface haulage department and reporting to the Surface Haulage Services Supervisor, this role plays a critical part in material haulage operations and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) to support mining and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Articulated Dump Trucks safely and efficiently.
Carry out loading, hauling and unloading activities as directed.
Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks.
Clean and maintain equipment to a high standard.
Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental procedures.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team members.
Contribute to achieving departmental production targets.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
PNG Class 6 and Class 7 Driver's Licence.
Minimum Grade 8 education (Grade 10 or relevant vocational training preferred).
At least 5 years' truck driving experience.
Experience in mining, quarrying, construction, or heavy equipment operations.
Ability to read and write in both English and Tok Pisin.
Strong commitment to safe work practices.
Ability to work effectively within a diverse workforce.
