K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

As part of the asset management team, the primary purpose of this position is providing support to ensure all requirements for electrical works on mobile fleet such as boggers, trucks and drills are carried out in the most efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner at the mine in Kainantu.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist Electricians to prepare sketches and plan layout to determine the location of electrical wiring and equipment and to always ensure safety compliance.
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls for repair and service within the mine site area, underground and on field, or where job is required.
  • Assist to conduct regular basic electrical tests and tagging on equipment, appliances, and machines.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must complete Grade 10 or above and attained National Certificate 1 in Electrical from a recognised Technical Institution, along with experience in either the Mining, Construction, Engineering or Oil and Gas industries. In addition to this you will have some or all the following.

  • At least 2 years of experience working on electrical industrial & domestic appliances and equipment.
  • Oral and written communication skills is an advantage.
  • Be able to act on these instructions from a supervisor and work well individually or as members of a team.
  • Sound organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong health and physical capability for a job that involves occasional heavy lifting and flexibility.
