K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

Joining our growing site you will be responsible for the day-to-day general administration and assisting the Maintenance Department, including contractors and supporting the staff team.

Preference will be given to recognised members of the mine impacted communities of Bilimoia, Unantu, Pomasi and Watarais. Recognised members of these communities who meet the selection criteria are encouraged to apply.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Maintain records of all stationaries within the department and order stationaries from site supply.
  • Provide general administrative support to Department Manager and staff team.
  • Where required, prepare, and provide weekly reports of administrative activities.
  • Raise SIRs where required for PPE issuance to new hires or replacements for current employees.
  • Undertake general administrative duties including, general word processing, filing, scanning, and copying.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you

  • Grade 10 or Certificate in Administration or Secretarial Studies.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
  • Sound planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer and courteous.
  • PNG National Driver’s License, gain and maintain site license.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to read and write both in Pidgin and English.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
