K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting your communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

The Cable Bolt Operator is responsible for carrying out cable bolt drilling, installation and other tasks as directed by your supervisor and trainer. Responsibilities also include the safe and efficient installation of Anchor Cables and ground support according to quality specifications.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Install cables where directed.
• Ensure cables are fully encapsulated with the adequate mix of grout.
• Plate and tension cables
• Keep all equipment clean and serviceable.
• Demonstrate an understanding of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental standards in the workplace.

About You

To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate experience in the following operating cable bolting equipment t in an underground mining experience. In addition to this you should also ideally.

• Have completed grade 10 
• Be able to understand the company’s targets and work towards achieving the targets.
• Have a strong understanding of the mining cycle.
• Be able to build and maintain good working relationships with other team members and K92 Mining Ltd employees.
