K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our growing exploration department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of general administration of the Exploration Department and supporting the management team.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Provide general administrative support to Department Manager and staff team.
  • Undertake general administrative duties including, general word processing, filing, copying, and faxing.
  • Keep and maintain records or file system of workers’ administrative matters
  • Minute taking for board/in-house meetings, collation and distribution of minutes, department weekly and monthly reports, and other documents.
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing mails.
  • Ordering of office equipment, materials, and stationeries.
  • Obtaining quotes to raise purchase orders for stationeries as and when required.     
  • Updating inventory on office supplies and equipment.
  • Attend to reservations for flights/travels and accommodation for employees.
  • Monitor and update weekly workplace inspection log sheet
  • Preparation of timesheets every pay period ending
  • Usual administration procedural activities.
  • Update of shift and work rosters.
  • May possibly require working extended hours.
  • Attend to other administrative duties in line with role and as instructed by immediate Supervisor.
  • Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.
  • Perform all roles and responsibilities that support and reflect the company’s mission and core values.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you

  • A Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 5 year’s work experience in mining environment or similar.
  • Well versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business, corporate group, individual etc)
  • A self-starter, very resourceful and with ability to finding solutions.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer and e-mail correspondences and courteous.
  • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrable ability to work under pressure.
