K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our exploration team, this position is responsible for liaising with exploration geologists to ensure that exploration activities are carried out in the most cost effective and timely manner. This will involve planning, scheduling and implementing of exploration activities, particularly regarding remote exploration camps using both road transport and helicopters.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Develop logistics along with support plans, budget requirements for Exploration requirements.
  • Overseeing and support of all logistics movements ongoing to land, air, and river operations.
  • Purchasing and supplying of dry goods and equipment to remote sites.
  • Organisation and implementation of helicopter sling loads and internal loads
  • Negotiating with local communities to get the best outcome in regards delivery of goods to site.
  • Stocktaking of all sites regarding food and equipment
  • Ordering, sourcing and following up of all exploration stock.
  • Purchasing goods through pronto, via petty cash, NCS and purchase orders.
  • Delivering goods and equipment to remote sites making sure procedures are in place to prevent theft and unnecessary claims.
  • Managing casual contractors, carriers, and other exploration staff

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have all or the following

  • Possess current Driver’s License
  • A certificate or Diploma in business studies or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Proficient at both Microsoft excel, word and Outlook
  • Problem solver
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to organise and manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated characteristics in honesty, reliability, trustworthiness with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to manage and acquit a cash advance
  • Ability to follow standard policies.
  • Capable of 4-wheel driving experience
