K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

This position will be responsible for testing of soils, concrete, aggregates and other construction materials.  

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include:

• Perform a full range of soil and concrete tests following standard procedures and ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
• Implement quality control measures, document non-conformances, and ensure compliance with project specifications, company policies, and safety standards.
• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Keep the laboratory clean and organized while managing workflow and supporting project deliverables.
• Mentor and oversee the performance of the laboratory crew to build capability and maintain high standards.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have

• 5-10 years of related lab experience, including soil, aggregate and concrete.
• Possess current Level 5 accreditation with National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) Australia (desirable)
• Good knowledge of lab testing procedures in accordance with relevant Australian Standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, MS Word and Excel)
• Available to work overtime when required.
