K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

Joining our Commercial team, you will assist with the co-ordination of all K92 Mining inventory aspects relating to materials. To ensure optimum cost effectiveness and timely provision of supplies. To minimize the impact of the department on the environment and ensure the workplace health & safety of employees, contractors and other stakeholders are maintained.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position mean you will

• Ensure that all aspects of Category Management process are undertaken in accordance with established policy and procedures
• Assist in weekly and monthly reports are run and acted upon to guarantee no stock outs in materials
• Ensure the timely completion of all tasks for both staff and contractors
• Ensure all daily stock takes are carried out in a timely manner and posted within 24 hours of stock count
• Update Pronto with correct and accurate information in relation to cataloguing requirements.
• Complete all Material data master additions and changes.
• Assist in investigation of inventory discrepancies and obsolesces including relevant investigations. 
• Complete all ANSI requests within a timely fashion.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have the following

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industry with relevant experience
• Experience with Pronto function to Support Inventory requirements.
• Experience with storage and handling of Dangerous goods
• Behaviour consistent with K92 Mining core values
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making capability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience communicating with vendors in PNG and internationally
• Ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels of the organisation and engage all relevant stakeholders
