K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate.

About the role

Joining our supply team, you will ensure the safe and secure operations of the warehouse and to carry out the receipt, storage, issue and dispatch of materials in a safe and efficient manner whilst adhering to site policies and procedures. In addition you will unload and load of containers/vehicles of goods both inwards and outwards.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Receive, store, issue and despatch of operational spares and consumables to always ensure continuous production. 
• Assist in unpack, sort and checking of goods received for quality, quantity and specification.
• Ensure all goods are issued in accordance with company procedures and discrepancies are investigated in a timely manner
• Complete stock taking as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assisting with regular stock takes and cleaning of worksite
• Working in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines
• Possibly assisting with packing and physical movement of goods according to workload demands.
• Unloading and loading of containers/vehicles of goods both inwards and outwards.
• Answering customer queries regarding stock location and progress.
• Operating computer system to obtain details of stock quantity and location.
• Operating machinery such as a forklift to lift, place and remove items.
• Assisting with regular stock takes and cleaning of worksite.
• Possibly assisting with packing and physical movement of goods according to workload demands.
• Monitor the delivery of goods and materials ensuring conformation that deliveries are completed to the K92 Mining schedules and plans.
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure that specified delivery timeframes are met.
• Participate in the planning of shutdown maintenance and project work to ensure the availability of goods during periods of unusual demand.
• Ensure Safety, Health and Environmental legislation is recognised in all purchasing activities.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have all or the following

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in industry with relevant experience in logistics
• Understanding of ERP systems (Pronto) to support purchasing and expediting processes.
• Competence in operation of materials handling equipment. (Eg: Forklift truck/Light truck licence)
• Proven skills in the use of computing software.
• Applied software: Pronto, Microsoft office suite
• Good interpersonal skills together with effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated skills in problem solving.
• Competence in operation of materials handling equipment. (Eg: Forklift truck)
