K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

Joining our underground mining team, this role reports to the Shotcrete Supervisor and is required to ensure that all aspects of shotcrete spraying are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with K92 Mining site requirements and procedures

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Operate a shotcrete rig and underground equipment to apply fibrecrete
• Inspect ground conditions,
• Conduct QA/QC tests, maintain equipment, and support daily mining operations.
• Work closely with the Mining shift boss to assess performance and identify improvements to maximise results, reduce risk and minimise wastage of consumables.
• Responsible for ongoing communication with supervisors.
• Responsible for processing of detailed daily reports to the supervisors and his oncoming shift.
• Responsible for housekeeping as per standard.
• Maintain work relationship with all working crews during shift hours.
• Responsible to safely operate the equipment.
• Actively promotes a safe and healthy culture.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility for own health and safety whilst setting clear expectations of relevant legal obligations, safe workplace practices and HSE operating practices to others, holding them accountable for their actions.
• Perform general housekeeping within and around responsible work area.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must obtain a minimum qualification of Grade 10 or above with experience in operating Shotcrete equipment’s. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Experience in shotcrete spraying
• Must have operating certificate.
• Ability to work with close supervision.
• Must have Underground Mining experience preferred.
