K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of technical training programs on-site, partnering with training teams to ensure delivery of technical training programs across business units, including coordination of external training providers.

Key Accountabilities

• Health, Safety & Environment – Promote a zero-harm culture through visible HSE leadership, compliance with standards, and delivery of site-based training and inductions.

• Training Development & Delivery – Coordinate technical and non-technical training, maintain accurate training records, and oversee compliance with induction and mandatory training requirements.

• Contractor & Stakeholder Management – Monitor external training providers to ensure quality and compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver approved training plans.

• Budget & Reporting – Contribute to training budgets, analyse program quality, and provide input into regular training reports.

• People & Leadership – Support trainer development, audit technical training for quality and compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

About You

• Diploma in Training and Assessment/Training and Design
• Formal qualifications in adult/vocational education
• Formal qualifications in supervision/management
• Driver’s License
• Relevant work experience in similar role preferably in mining/remote construction operations.
• Previous experience operating in Papua New Guinea or developing countries in remote locations will be highly regarded.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office suite
• Sound planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
