K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

As the Surface Haulage Supervisor, you will supervise personnel and equipment resources to achieve and exceed haulage services targets. In addition, you will liaise with the Surface Haulage Services Project Manager with respect to the achieving the operational requirements of the Surface Haulage Services Department and collation of operational statistics (ie  production data, incidents, and personnel performance for reporting and continuous improvement) to seek continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Supervise personnel and equipment resources to achieve and exceed haulage services targets
  • To ensure company Procedure and Policies are adhered to.
  • Optimising resources to achieve and exceed production targets.
  • Monitoring crew performance and safety compliance, providing clear instructions and consistent leadership throughout each shift.
  • Supervising day to day work priorities ensuring work is conducted safely and liaising with maintenance and technical teams to maximise equipment availability and operational performance.
  • Maintaining accurate records of shift activities, production data, incidents, and personnel performance for reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting team development through training, constructive feedback, and managing disciplinary matters as required.
  • Be the supervisor on the ground, running pre-starts, toolbox talks, JHAs and fostering a strong, positive safety culture.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site standards and mining regulations.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have

  • Minimum Grade 10 certificate.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of Mine Duty of Care Requirements
  • Strong people and time management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Environmental Management System relevant to K92
  • Leadership Qualities
  • Organizational & Supervisory Skills
  • Able to communicate in both written and verbal manner and at all levels.
  • Good Command of the English Language.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret production schedules (ie daily tonnage, haulage and operating budget requirements).
  • Current PNG Driving Licence
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience on operating Earth Moving Machinery (preferable ADT, grader, water cart, roller and backhoe)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
