Position Overview
The Technical Specialist – HV Network will play a key role, reporting to the Technical Specialist – Power Generation and assisting the PPS Control Room Operator, PPS Electrical Technician (HV) and other stakeholders by pursuing maximum possible power supply delivery
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise, control and monitor the overall mine site power supply and distribution network including all Main Power Station generators, Kumian Camps Power Generation, 800L Portal Power Distribution Systems and associated controls - Own the Production, Transformation & distribution of Power across the HV Network.
• Supervise maintenance of all High Voltage electrical supply equipment and oversee the maintenance of all Main Power Station generators, Kumian Camps Power Generation, 800L Portal Power Distribution Systems and associated controls.
• Supervise a group of HV electrical technicians and Power Station Operators to effectively monitor and maintain the electrical systems on the mine site, with reference to the electrical components.
Qualification, Skills & Experience
This role is ideally suited to someone who has substantial experience in power generation and distribution industry
- Must have an electrical trade qualification.
- Must have an Electrical Workers Licence with over 5 years’ experience in power generation and distribution industry
- Must have HV Switching Qualifications and experience.
- Previous experience in electrical supervision or coordinating is well required.
- Experience in the maintenance of HV Equipment, electrical, electronic, and instrumental equipment commonly installed Power Stations
- High Voltage Switching and HV power reticulation experience.
- Experience with CMMS Pronto platforms is well regarded
- Experience with COMAP and SCADA platforms is well regarded.
- Experience in mining or heavy industrial environment is well regarded.
