About the role
This role will be assisting as a general helping hand in the workshop in the areas of tyre fitting and repairs.
Key / Major Accountabilities
Key accountabilities of this position include.
- Assist to carry out tyre repair and maintenance work to pre-determine standards; to provide vehicles which are safe, reliable, and legal in accordance with the Road Traffic Acts.
- Assist to carry out tyre repair and maintenance work earthmoving equipment to provide vehicles which are safe, reliable, and legal in accordance with the Road Traffic Acts.
- Complete records for all vehicles (Light and heavy) and equipment maintained.
- Maintain specialist company equipment and tools to ensure they are available for immediate use.
- Identify and report to the Supervisor Tyre Technician any vehicle defect found during repairs.
- Identify and report recurrent problems with vehicles to the area supervisor.
- Report factors which prevent work continuing to a vehicle in the Workshop to your supervisor.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness of workshops, vehicles, and equipment to promote safe working practices.
- Identify and report safety hazards.

Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.
- Perform all roles and responsibilities that support and reflect the company’s mission and core values.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have some or all the following.
- Grade 12 certificate
- Sound communication skills
- Sound literacy and neuromeric skills
- Self-starter, and very resourceful.
- Flexible and adaptable and be a team player.
