K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

This position is responsible for carrying out electrical breakdown and preventative maintenance repairs on a wide range of mobile equipment’s including Light Vehicles, Boggers, Truck fleet, Excavators, Drills, Dozers, Graders, and support equipment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Performing scheduled and Breakdown maintenance on a large fleet of Underground Mining Equipment including Sandvik Drills, Trucks and Loaders with an ancillary fleet of CAT and Normet equipment.
  • Conduct regular electrical tests and tagging on equipment’s and machines.
  • Direct and train subordinates to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment’s, and machines.
  • Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have a NATTB certified Trade certificate in Auto-electrical with at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in heavy industry preferably mining environment. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining electrical equipment in the mobile fleet including Light vehicles, Dozers, excavators, graders,
  • Relevant experience in automotive air conditioning systems.
  • Self-motivated with ability to always work autonomously.
  • Strong safety focus and sound knowledge of standard operating procedures.
