K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

This position is responsible for assembling and testing hydraulic hoses to ensure they are fit for purpose to meet the high standards set by the company. Making and testing hose assemblies. Build, crimp, and test hydraulic hose assemblies.

Key Accountabilities

• Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations in accordance with the K92 Mining Safety System at all times.
• Ensure that all tasks carried out are as per supervisor’s written and verbal instructions.
• To be able to identify and use appropriate fittings to be fitted to specific hoses, as per OEM specification.
• To carry out assemblies using a variety of hoses for all mining equipment and th operation hydraulic purposes.
• To be able to perform and make low- and high-pressure hoses.
• To understand the procedures involved when testing to higher pressures and its associated safety critical aspects.
• To be able to identify and use all types of hoses for the purpose specified by the customer order.
• To carry out all assembly techniques as per supplier or in-house procedures.
• To be familiar with all our supplied fittings and their use.
• To be aware of environmental issues associated with workshop procedures.
• To have the ability to operate all hose assembly machinery and equipment.
• To ensure that work areas are always maintained clean and hazard free.
• To actively contribute to the overall team activities and promote good working practices.
• To work overtime if requested to ensure our organization deadlines are met.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have a minimum grade ten school certificate with 3+ years’ experience in mining environment or heavy construction industry. In addition to this, you will have

• Mechanical Technical Knowledge
• 3+ years’ experience in Hose making industry.
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems distributing liquids and gasses under varying pressures.
• Current PNG Driver’s License
• Training and Assessment experience and qualifications
• Current First Aid qualification
• Excellent trouble shooting skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training.
• Actively promotes a safe and healthy culture.
