K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

Joining the asset management team, this role is responsible for detecting, installing and carry out repairs of water and heating system and major appliances. It is imperative that you  must know and understand underground piping systems and sump pumps.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Assembles pipes using various sealing methods including glue, clamps, bolts, screws, cement, and caulking.
• Detect leaks in plumbing fixtures and identify correct adjustments and repairs.
• Install appliances, such as dishwashers, toilets, bathtubs, and water heaters, and unclogs drains.
• Install underground piping systems, such as sump pumps.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must obtain a minimum qualification of Grade 10 and NATTB trade certificate in Plumbing and you must have a plumbing license. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• At least 3 years of experience working in the mining environment or similar.
• Knowledge of different working tools, hand tools, power tools, and machine tools.
• Able to work long hours.
• Able to work individually or with minimum supervision.
