K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our sites services Maintenance team, you will read and interpret installation drawings, written instructions and diagrams to perform poly welding joining and fabrication based on the project requirements as well as construct, repair and maintain polylines new or existing. You will diagnose problems and provide solutions to install and maintain various size polyline throughout site

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Undertake Carry out the installation of HDPE pipework ranging in size from 25mm to 700mm.
• Competent in the use of a Butt-welding machine, calculate cooling times to suit size of various pipes
• Competent in the set up and operation of fusion welding machines.
• Install new pipe works as detailed instruction, drawing as per the Work Order.
• Understand the use of tools required to install and align pipes in pipe racks and/or other locations on site.
• Understand the weights of the pipe and fluid being carried for supporting brackets.
• Ensure that the sections daily work plans are executed as directed.
• Competent in lifting and safe operation of workshop equipment.
• Reading and understanding technical drawings and manuals.
• Conduct general housekeeping at work area.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.
• Perform all roles and responsibilities that support and reflect the company’s mission and core values

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you

• Hold a Grade 10 education or above.
• NATTB certified or other Certified Poly welding License
• Possess a current recognized certification or license from poly welding machine manufacturer or qualified trainer.
• 5 years’ experience in relative technical area.
• 2 years’ experience in the Mining industry.
• Sound communication & technical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Sound planning and organization skills.
• Able to work with minimum supervision
