About the role

Joining the mining department, this role is responsible for delivering of cement blends and concrete mixes from the blending and batch plants to K92’s underground paste plant and required UG work fronts, ensuring all duties are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with K92 Mining site requirements and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Operate and maintain Underground Agitator Truck according to all K92 Plan Operations & Maintenance procedures and fault reporting systems.
• Perform prestart and troubleshooting on Underground Agitator Truck and associated equipment to identify and remedy issues that may arise.
• Actively monitor the condition of mixed product to ensure product does not set prematurely in the mixing bowl.
• Proactively engage with the Shotcrete Supervisor to provide technical advice and support to the Shotcrete Teams to ensure equipment availability and reliability targets are achieved and optimised against budget.
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for repair, service and/or support within the mine site area as required to ensure downtime on equipment is minimised.
• Support and assist the Shotcrete Supervisor to ensure the rectification of identified defects in both equipment and mixed product to improve and optimise availability and reliability targets.
• Work closely with the Shotcrete Supervisor to assess performance and identify improvement projects to maximise results, reduce risk and implement cost management initiatives.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility for own health and safety whilst setting clear expectations of relevant legal obligations, safe workplace practices and HSE operating practices to others, holding them accountable for their actions.
• Perform general housekeeping within and around responsible work area.
• Ensure equipment maintenance is conducted by competent technicians in a safe manner and in accordance with established procedures.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you

• Possess a current Class 4 Drivers Licence that allows operation of a Underground Agitator Truck on public roads – (Essential)
• Previous experience as an underground Agitator Truck Operator – (Desirable)
• Commitment to safety – (Essential)
• Knowledge of Underground Agitator Truck’s performance capabilities – (Essential)
• Ability to work autonomously independent with limited supervision – (Essential)
• Demonstrate abilities to work within a team environment – (Essential)
• Knowledge of concrete additives and aggregates – (Desirable)
• Previous experience working within the mining industry – (Desirable)
• General knowledge of underground equipment – (Desirable)
