About the role

To operate K92 buses and light vehicles in accordance with the approved Manhaul  schedule, Daily Staff Movement (DSM), to transport company personnel and others as may be directed, in a safe and efficient manner to ensure that all activities meet the Company’s business needs and consistently high standards of occupational health, safety, and environment by: -

Ensuring compliance with safety best practice in line with K92`s Safety System.

Ensuring compliance with K92 Environmental Policies and Procedures.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Undertake the safe handling of buses and light vehicles in transporting employees to and from work as required by the DSM.
  • Operate buses or other vehicles in accordance with K92 safety procedures.
  • Conduct a daily inspection of the allocated vehicle and ensure that it is fully serviceable and safe to operate. Notify maintenance of any defects requiring attention.
  • Ensure that only authorized passengers are permitted to travel on the company vehicles.
  • Other work-related tasks as assigned by the Coordinator Asset Protection Accountabilities.
  • Assist to drive and influence proactive safety behaviors within workgroups through visible leadership.
  • Assist to ensure all personnel, visitors and contractors comply with site and contractual HSE requirements and hold people accountable for adherence.
  •  
    Assist top work so that it can be conducted safely; and considers environmental conditions, nearby activities, and the people and other resources needed to complete the work.
  • Follow all Travel policy and legal requirements to ensure business receive the right service.
  • Actively promote a safe and healthy culture.
  • Establish a high-performance culture by motivating other team members to achieve a high level of performance and by rewarding and recognizing high performance.
  • Ensure effective processes for communicating relevant information, including company, site, department, and team.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have some or all the following.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the operation of man-haul tonnage trucks.
  • A minimum of Grade 10 education.
  • A Current Class 6 Licence
  •  
    Experience Driving the Madang Lae Highway for.
  • The ability to take direction from the supervisor.
  • Be prepared to work the hours required by the Travel Coordinator, and to maintain the schedule.
  • Be of sober habits and able to work with minimum supervision.
  •  
    Maintaining a personal focus on safe vehicle operation
