K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

This role is part of the site Underground Services team and is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring mine infrastructure projects to support underground mining operations. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and statutory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure all aspects of mining operations design and planning comply with Company policy and statutory requirements including health and safety, environment, and agreement with landowners.
• Develop project charters, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including daily Work Instructions.
• Coordinate resources, logistics, and materials to meet project timelines.
• Apply engineering principles to mine infrastructure projects (ventilation, water supply, dewatering, concrete works, emergency egress).
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with K92 underground mining standards and guidelines.
• Incorporate safety tools (Hazard IDs, JSEA, QSOs, 3Ws) into project design and execution.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to company safety standards and procedures.
• Assist deliver weekly plans and schedules.
• Track progress against schedules and KPIs.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on project constraints and resource utilization.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Develop and revise project-related procedures and work instructions.
• Present improvement initiatives and lessons learned.

About You

To be considered for this role it is essential that you must have a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering and must have mining operational experience with 5 years of technical experience in a similar role. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Sound knowledge of safe mining practices and standards in an underground Narrow Vein Mine.
• Proficient in MS Project, Gantt charts, and scheduling tools.
• Competent in CAD software (e.g., DESWIK) for mine design and drafting preferred.
• Ability to prepare professional presentations using MS PowerPoint.
• Good analytical and teamwork skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills as well as good organizational and administrative skills.
