K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our exploration team, the Core Shed Supervisors ensure that Quality Assurance and Quality Control is established on the processing of drill core. This is essential in gathering quality data that is used for both Exploration Purposes and Ore Reserve calculations.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Manage all drill core technicians ensuring they are working productively.
• Train new and existing core technicians so they are following all QAQC protocols.
• Ensure all marking up of core is done correctly.
• All core is sampled correctly and in a timely manner.
• Solve any core block issues or sampling mistakes quickly.
• Consistent housekeeping of core shed to make sure it is a safe working environment
• Clear communication with the Geologists to help maintain reporting protocols.
• Complete all 274’s for the core shed.
• Attend all exploration, safety meetings and exploration morning and afternoon meetings.
• All data recorded by core shed technicians is done correctly, such as mag sus, XRF and ASD recordings.
• Ability to do bulk density readings and RQD.
• Work alongside Geologists and core shed technicians. This is a hands-on role.
• Perform all other required tasks in consultation with immediate Supervisor.
• Maintain safe work standards and practices in accordance with government and company policy.
• Perform all roles and responsibilities that support and reflect the company’s mission and core values

About You

To be considered for this position, it is essential that applicants have the following

• Minimum Grade ten (10) Certificate.
• Minimum of 3-year experience as a core shed supervisor.
• Able to understand, read and write Pidgin and English.
• Sound communication skills.
• Self-Starter and to be able to perform tasks with minimum supervision.
• Forklift license.
• Well-versed experience in mining safety management.
• Of sober habit, a self-starter, very resourceful and with ability to finding solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in computer and e-mail correspondences.
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
• Strong planning, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Current PNG Driver’s license.
• Exposure to Emergency Response teams, processes.
