K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

Responsible for operating the Underground Loader in a safe and appropriate manner to carry out earth moving task as directed by the shift supervisor for general operations.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Safely operate Loader as part of underground work plan pre task jobs.
• Perform daily safety prestart maintenance checks.
• Clean loader as scheduled and/or required.
• Perform other related earth moving or haul road construction duties.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must obtain a minimum qualification of Grade 10 or above with experience in operating Front-End loaders Volvo L90G and L90H or similar models and must have 2+ years’ experience in operating a loader. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Possess current Class 7 driver’s license.
• Must have operating certificate.
• Ability to work with close supervision.
• Must have Underground Mining experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training.
• Actively promotes a safe and healthy culture.
