About the role

Assist the Senior Mine Control Operator coordinate and optimize the real-time dispatch of mining equipment and personnel to ensure efficient and safe operations. This involves monitoring fleet activity, analysing operational data, and using dispatch software to support production targets and minimize downtime.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Effectively administering the computerised mine dispatch system including management of disk space, system set-up parameters and back-up of daily data to optimise all functions of the system.
• Effectively operating and maintaining the mine dispatch system to ensure that all elements are working correctly including reporting and communications functions.
• Identifying trends, problems, inefficiencies or non-compliances with operating procedures, taking action or making recommendations for continuous improvement through reports and weekly system improvement meetings.

  Providing materials movement, equipment utilisation and other production data to production planning or projects personnel on a daily, weekly or monthly basis or as otherwise required.
• Ensuring effective processes for communicating relevant information, including company, site, department, and team performance, to all team members are in place.
• Actively promoting a safe and healthy culture.
• Demonstrating personal responsibility for own health and safety whilst setting clear expectations of relevant legal obligations, safe workplace practices and HSE operating practices to others, holding them accountable for their actions.

  Performing general housekeeping within and around responsible work area.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have some or all the following.

• Year 12 Certificate or diploma in Mining, Engineering, IT or related field
• Behaviour consistent with K92 Mining’s Values.
• Strong computer skills and exposure to mine dispatch systems.
• Mining operational experience and three plus (3+) years’ appropriate experience in a similar role.
• Sound knowledge of safe mining practices and standards in an underground mine.
• Proven multi-tasking skills and can work under extreme pressure.
• Good analytical and teamwork skills.

  Good written and verbal communication skills as well as good organizational, administrative and multi-tasking skills.
