K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our emergency services team, you will work at our expanding Kainantu gold site providing emergency services support to our operation, exploration sites and wider community. You will focus will be on overseeing the ERT volunteers, coordinating emergency response, prevention, and preparedness onsite.

Key Accountabilities

• Provision of Emergency Service support to the site (and any surrounding community where approved).
• Development and upskilling of Emergency Response Team (volunteers).
• Develop and deliver training on relevant topics, under direction of HSE Manager/delegate.
• Providing effective and timely Emergency Service response – including after-hours/ on-call capability.
• Participate in workplace inspections and audits as required.
• Develop and deliver formal and informal training to staff, contractors, volunteers as part of the site Training requirements.
• Participate in site-wide activities, comply with site-wide Policies.
• Other tasks as required and assigned.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have prior experience as an Emergency Service Officer (minimum 3 years) in a heavy industry, preferably Mining, as well as some or all of the following

• Ability to work within a framework of Standards and Procedures and implement these.
• Ability to work to a plan and with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude and willingness to teach, train, coach and mentor others.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity, for both PNG and expat staff.
• Demonstrate sound work ethics.
• Able to conduct briefings in English and Tok Pisin.
• Microsoft Office experience with Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint.
• Flexible with work location. Work location may vary.
• High level of physical fitness.
• Current PNG Drivers license.
• Underground mining emergency response exposure.
• Training and Assessment experience and qualifications.
• Proven ability to develop and then deliver training material.
• Advanced medical emergency response skills.
