K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

Joining our maintenance team on site, in this role you will be responsible for the distribution of tools and equipment to support the plant technicians / tradesman. You will also ensure the workplace health & safety of employees, Contractors and other stakeholders are maintained.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Ensuring that the sections daily work plans are executed as directed.
• Ensure the accurate identification and labelling of stock items.
• Ensure that goods requiring special handling or storage risk are handled as per safety policy and requirements.
• Maintain clean and efficient warehouse premises and a properly maintained clean yard by applying “clean as you go” on all tasks undertaken.
• To identify hazards and maintain a safe working environment while using 3W process.
• Fully responsible for the quality of work.
• Stock and direct charge items store within the designated area, that they stored in the correct location and at the right time.
• Carry out regular stock maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are followed up on including the return of issued tooling.
• 5S to be maintained with the tooling storage areas.
• Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.
• Perform all roles and responsibilities that support and reflect the company’s mission and core values.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have all or some of the following

• Minimum Grade ten certificate or PETT courses.
• Must have good attention to detail.
• Must be Computer literacy with competence in MS excel with exposure to Pronto or equivalent.
• Must be able to effectively read and write in English.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Oral and communication skills in English is desirable.
