K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting your communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

This role will be responsible for controlling, monitoring and maintaining the machines and equipment used to crush, transfer and pump ore, water, and reagents to get high quality gold concentrates for K92 mining company.

Another function of this role is setting the controls and observing gauges and other instrumentation to monitor progress and check for malfunctions, leaks, and other faults

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Operators are also responsible for overseeing work is being done in a safe manner and to K92 safety regulations and standard.
• Check and make sure equipment and area of work is safe to work in. Fill log and check sheets
• Report any equipment, faults, and unsafe practise to shift boss.
• Collect 2hrs samples.
• Liaise with maintenance personal working in the area of responsibility.
• Assist in isolation and de-isolation of equipment.
• Preparing and measuring the reagents (PAX, CMC, Hydrated lime, and Flocculation) that are used in the processing plant.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have some or all the following.

• Minimum of Grade 10
• An appropriate trades trade certificate 
• Minimum of (5) years’ experience working in the l Processing Plant in a supervisory role.
• To be physically fit
• To enjoy practical and manual activities
• To be able to read and follow written instructions.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• Good hand-eye co-ordination
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
