K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our Fixed Plant Maintenance team, the Senior Maintenance Planner ensures that all routine maintenance activities for our process plant are appropriately planned (with input from operations and maintenance) so that the work can progress in a safe, environmentally responsible, efficient, cost effective and repeatable manner.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Actively promote a safe and healthy culture. Demonstrates personal responsibility for own health and safety whilst setting clear expectations of relevant legal obligations, safe workplace practices and HSE operating practices to others, holding them accountable for their actions. Perform general housekeeping within and around responsible work area.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for both planned and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency in multiple areas
• Utilise Pronto to track Planned jobs (Weekly and Shutdowns), work orders, manage maintenance backlogs, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Assists in the development of Maintenance budgets and reporting actual performance against budgets and plans.
• Track and forecast critical component requirements to prevent unscheduled downtime, while monitoring component life cycles and managing replacements in alignment with predictive maintenance strategies.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to analyse equipment performance and reliability. Implement corrective actions to enhance equipment reliability and reduce unplanned breakdowns including but not limited to:
• Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely acquisition of parts and components while maintaining optimal stock levels to minimise excess inventory costs. Conduct regular inventory reviews, request stock adjustments, and ensure accurate inventory records within Pronto, updating them as required based on usage trends.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to secure the availability of spare parts and components, reducing delays in maintenance activities.
• Prepare structured reports to provide insights into maintenance performance, downtime trends, and cost analysis. Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate data-driven insights for continuous improvement. Check quality of daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports while also preparing and maintaining quarterly, 6monthly, and annual maintenance forecasts.
• Additionally, assist and develop the national workforce in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution processes, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have mechanical or electrical trade qualifications as well as a technical qualification in Maintenance Planning. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Five (5) years’ experience in computer-based maintenance planning/scheduling.
• Must have experience in using Pronto ERP
• Must have advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Projects.
• Strong understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance.
