K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting your communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Attend to all work orders and IT Help Desk Requests (SDE Calls).
• Attend to Daily routine server room checks and daily network monitoring.
• Trouble shoot hardware, system, and network issues.
• Install CCTV cameras and biometric access scanning hardware and software systems.
• Carry out fibre optic and Cat 5/6 cabling and installations.
• Repair hardware (printers, scanners, copiers, pc, and servers etc)
• Routine monthly server clean-up on all Kainantu servers.
• Install and trouble shoot communications issues (Point-to-Point MW & satellite link, telephone, mobile phones, site communications, internet, and TV distribution networks)
• Setup communication equipment’s in remotely located areas where required, (e.g., Exp fly camps).
• Provide administration support for ALL site applications and Pronto.
• Re-image new and old pc/server.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have a Diploma or Tertiary qualifications in IT with a minimum of 5 years work experience in Senior IT roles in extractive industry (mining preferred). In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Certified Premises and Fiber optics cabling certification
• Familiar with a Windows-based Server and Active Directory environment
• Familiar with Cisco switching technologies.
• Understanding of the different hardware and software equipment.
• Excellent understanding of Information Technology and Communications Systems.
