K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining the project construction team and reporting to the Registered Mine Surveyor, the primary purpose of this position is providing support in all survey activities, including surface and underground across the organization.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Do Daily face pick-up and mark-up, update of working plans/computer files.
  • Practical use of the Surpac software including Leica total stations and GPS units, UAV drones etc.
  • Undertaking a variety of surveys including engineering, construction, and roads.
  • Undertaking mining and exploration surveys in both open cut and underground.
  • Collaborating with project staff and seeking advice from Senior Surveyors as required.
  • Deliver project outcomes in accordance with client specifications and expectations.
  • Commitment to application of work health and safety principals’ policy.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have a tertiary qualification in Surveying with MRA Mine Surveyor accreditation, along with experience in either the Mining, Construction, Engineering or Oil and Gas industries. In addition to this you will have some or all the following.

  • Sound communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in surveying
  • MRA Mine Surveyor accreditation preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Topography Survey, preferable in the mining industry.
  • Sound knowledge in regulatory requirements (with respect to Land Use and land Rights/ Acquisition) by the Mining Regulatory Board
  • Surpac software experience.
  • Sound knowledge of safe mining practices and mining standards
  • Strong planning and analytical skills.
  • A team player with good computer skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Minimum of a Class one (1) driver’s license.
