K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

Lead and coordinate HR team reporting to this role. Partner with key internal stakeholders to provide HR advisory and support services required for the delivery of employee life cycle.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Translate business strategies, objectives and content into Human Resources strategy and plan to build organizational capability and effectiveness.
• Develop and implement programs for the effective recruitment, onboarding, global mobility, and retention of employees.
• Develop and implement programs for talent management, succession management, performance management and people capability to build and improve the capability and talent of the organization.
• Develop and implement an employee relations framework including procedures and processes required to support a high-performance culture.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Law or Business Administration Postgraduate and change management certification is an advantage and a member of professional institute of HR practitioners. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• 10+ years relevant work experience essential in human resources management roles preferably in metals extraction and mining operations.
• Previous experience operating in Papua New Guinea or developing countries in remote locations will be highly regarded.
• Experience in management and implementation of ERP systems. Pronto experience will be advantageous.
• Sound planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
