K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

Joining our exploration team, the primary purpose of this role is to ensure the operations of helicopter is in line with contractual requirements and also monitor and reduce costs associated explorations surface operations.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Oversee that the helicopters flight schedules and daily operations with contractors and K92 employees are in line with K92 processes and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a cost control system for the exploration project, including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
• Work with the Exploration Manager to develop and monitor helicopter budgets and project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are within budget limits and approved scope.
• Develop and maintain a cost estimate database to support future exploration projects.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong character who is prepared to make hard decisions and deliver results. In addition to this, you will have the following.

• Exceptional financial/logical skills with proficiency in MS Suite
• Prior experience in accounting base packages such as Pronto
• Ability to manage personnel and work effectively with diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
