K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our supply team, you will assist our Superintendent Logistics in overall logistic chain to continually maximize export efficiencies whilst minimizing cost to the Company & overall supply chain. In addition, you will effectively work with the processing department to resolve continual improvements through the logistics chain.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Work with Logistics teams and Process department to plan and execute development of an operational logistics plan for exports to provide seamless issues and transfers.
• Prepare and present input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of Logistics responsibility.
• Confident in resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with logistics and client.
• Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and provide constructive feedback to Superintendent Logistics
• Demonstrate commitment to and hold others accountable to complying with the site safety management systems and supply and logistics strategies.
• Develop succession plans through leading, training and mentoring direct reports to deliver the plan with aim of building a high performing team.
• Positively influence and shape the logistical department culture to ensure a safe, sustainable and disciplined approach to work.
• Set weekly and daily priorities for the team, monitor progress and report on activity and outcomes.
• Ensure the timely completion of all Logistics and Shipping reporting functions, with effective cost control inputs to all levels as required, weekly / monthly
• Assist with ensuring that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
• Prepare paperwork, Organise Gate passes, Container collections, Concentrate certifications
• Maintain and perform approvals in the Pronto system for stock orders

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have all or the following

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in industry with relevant experience in logistics
• Understanding of ERP systems (Pronto) to support purchasing and expediting processes.
• Monitor sea containers inventory to sustainable levels
• Coordinate shipping logistics
• Ensure accurate documentation
• Prepare reports on shipping performance
• Communicate with stakeholders
• Enforce strict adherence to safety standards
• Protect brand image and reliability
• Foster growth-friendly supply chain practices
• Experience communicating with vendors in PNG and Internationally to expediting according to T&C’s for supply to K92
• Ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels of the organisation and engage all relevant stakeholders.
