K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our exploration team, in this role you will lead all crews to achieve common goals throughout the exploration drilling operation on site. You will enhance and strengthen the communication between Drillers and supervisory staff and ensure all Drillers and offsiders are properly trained in the areas of drilling, safety, and environment,

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Management of the diamond drill tooling, inventory and all related machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose down hole problems and remedy issues that may arise.
• Ensure all site personnel comply with K92 mining regulations, procedures, and policies
• Be responsible for the training of drillers and offsiders
• Report any issues to Vice President Exploration and related Departments at the end of shift
• Provide leadership for drill crews regarding down hole problem and maintenance
• Ensure consistent safe drilling with minimum downtime operation with maximum recovery and rig utilization
• Instruct the crew in safe and correct working procedures and correct use in maintenance and caring of all equipment on site.
• Ensure all reports drilling reports are completed correctly.
• Actively promotes a safe and healthy culture.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility for own health and safety whilst setting clear expectations of relevant legal obligations, safe workplace practices and HSE operating practices to others, holding them accountable for their actions.
• Perform general housekeeping within and around responsible work area.
• Ensure diamond drilling operations are conducted by competent operators in a safe manner and in accordance with established procedures and legislation.

About You

To be considered for this position, it is essential that applicants have demonstrated a minimum 3 years experiences drilling with LM90 and rod handler and possess certified Miner training certificate in area of handling hand drill machine.

• Qualifications in Drilling Operations or equivalent relevant experience.
• Have the experience in trouble shooting down hole problems
• Ability to mentor drillers and offsiders
• Knowledge with mining safety regulations.
• Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision.
• Ability to read and write both in Pidgin and English.
• Strong IT Skills
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Able to speak both English and Pidgin.
• Maintain work relationships with colleague workers
• Must have minimum Class 3 driver’s license.
