K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting our communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

The incumbent will be responsible for installing and repairing conveyor belts and conveyor systems.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Assisting on shutdowns with planned belt changes
• Responding to breakdowns
• Operating belt splicing and installation equipment
• Fabric and steel cord splicing
• Hot and cold repairs
• Equipment and shutdown preparation
• General conveyor maintenance and inspections on conveyor belts and associated components.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have relevant certification in belt Splicing and Rubber Linning with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mining industry. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in blet splicing / rubber lining.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Good planning and organization skills
