K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

The Advisor – Human Resources works with the business providing timely advice and solutions on human resources management. Accountable for day-to-day HR people practices that support site’s ability to deliver on its operational plan. Lead, coach and develop the HR team to optimize people capability, systems, and processes.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Support and guide people leaders in the creation and implementation of departmental capacity building plans.
• Assist the department in the identification of talent, succession and critical roles needed to support the operational plan.
• Facilitate delivery of the HR annual calendar activities and leads HR projects as required.
• Educate people leaders on employee relations procedures and processes required to support a high-performance culture.
• Ensures people leaders undertake procedural fair performance management processes.
• Provide coaching and advice to people leaders on performance matters, grievances, and complaints.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have a tertiary qualification in human resources with accreditation from PNGIHRM. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Five (5) years relevant work experience in human resource management roles preferably in mining industry.
• Previous experience in senior advisory role including management of team.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Experience in management and implementation of ERP.
• Pronto experience will be advantageous.
