K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate. 

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

Joining our underground mining team, you will operate the loading and unloading truck, while upholding the Company’s Code of Conduct, by display the appropriate work attitude and teamwork within the underground areas.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• This position reports to the Shift Supervisor and forms part of the Mining team accountable for providing effective services underground.
• Maintain good working relationship with colleague workers.
• Strong commitment to safety
• Responsible to operate LHD’s and low-profile trucks.
• Responsible for house keeping
• Responsible for cleaning after use and checking before use

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you

• Possess PNG Class 6 and 7 driver license
• Has underground mining work experience.
• Ability to read and write both Pidgin and English
• Ability to relate to mine workers comprises of different backgrounds
• Must have at least 5 or more years of truck driving.
• Must be able to understand the company’s targets and work towards achieving the targets.
• Have a strong understanding of the mining cycle.
• Flexible, adaptable and be a strong and proactive team player.
• Ability to meet agreed schedules and deadlines.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with other team members and K92 Mining Ltd employees
