K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting your communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

To operate as Surface Driller with Exploration as directed and recover an accurate sample/core as per K92 mining specification, in a safe, cost-effective manner.  

Key / Major Accountabilities

• Ensuring that adequate duty of care is exercised in all aspects of your work activities.
• Personal compliance with OH&S Regulations and any site-specific rules, which may apply with varying sites.
• Training of offsiders in correct and safe working procedures and the proper care of equipment.
• Understanding fully the terms of the drilling program and liaising with the supervisor to ensure success.
• Ensure all drilling reports are prepared correctly.

About You

To be considered for this role, applicant must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience drilling with Chuck Drive Surface Drill rigs and have rod handler experience.  In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Proficient at using downhole survey tools
• Deep hole experience
• First Aid certificate
• Well-versed experience in mining safety management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
