About the role

In this role, you will manage the implementation and ongoing development of all aspects of processing training including safety, workplace inductions, personal development and training for personnel within the Process Plant.

To ensure that all activities meet the K92 Mining business needs and consistently high standards of occupational health, safety and environment are met, you will ensure the continuous improvement of safety best practice in line with K92 Mining Safety System and Environmental Policies and Procedures

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Manage scheduling of training for all Process plant personnel.
  • Co-ordinate or conduct Process Plant inductions and / or safety training
  • Maintain up to date training matrix for all Processing employees
  • Oversee graduate development programs within the Processing department
  • Monitor training provided for Processing personnel and develop effective training materials, evaluations and record keeping systems consistent with existing site document control.
  • Ensure accurate training records are maintained.
  • Accurately identify training requirements for all Processing personnel through effective Training Needs Analysis, Performance Management data and through liaison with key personnel and attending appropriate meetings.
  • Further the development of competency assessments for all Processing personnel.
  • Undertake the design and continuous development of training modules, materials, and procedures.
  • Liaise closely with the Coordinator Training and Development (Master Trainer) and other training personnel to maximise consistency and maintain a uniform approach to training across site.
  • Actively promote a safe and healthy culture.
  • Demonstrate personal responsibility for own health and safety whilst setting clear expectations of relevant legal obligations, safe workplace practices and HSE operating practices to others, holding them accountable for their actions.
  • Perform general housekeeping within and around responsible work area.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you

  • Possess an appropriate Trade Certification with a Diploma in Tech Teaching or a Certificate IV in Workplace Training
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical training role in a mineral processing plant.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role.
  • Well-developed computer skills with competence in MS Office Suite and Pronto.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in English
